About

The Role

As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, manage inventory, supervise food preparation, maintain quality standards, and lead a talented culinary team to deliver a top-notch dining experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring food is prepared and served according to Uncle Giuseppe's recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor kitchen inventory, placing orders based on menu needs and business demand.
  • Partner with department managers to develop menu items, set pricing, and determine portion sizes.
  • Schedule shifts based on business needs, holidays, and special events.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Conduct regular inventories and implement measures to minimize waste.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Food Safety & Quality
  • Oversee all food safety, inventory, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure food is stored, labeled, and handled according to proper safety standards.
  • Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day.
  • Enforce food safety compliance among all team members.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 35 years of experience managing a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Safety Certification required.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Working Conditions
  • Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces.
  • Regular bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs. (with assistance for heavier items).
  • Exposure to varying temperatures from ovens, coolers, and freezers.
  • Potential exposure to cleaning agents and sharp equipment.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
