Assistant Seafood Manager

Our up‑and‑coming store is seeking a dedicated, motivated, and customer‑focused Full‑Time Assistant Seafood Manager to help lead our vibrant Seafood Department.
Responsibilities- Assist with operations of the Seafood Department, providing excellent customer service and ensuring seafood quality, presentation, merchandising, organization, pricing, and stocking.
- Assist in training and scheduling Seafood Clerk staff.
- Filet fish for orders or display, set proper presentation, prepare seafood, and ensure ice is replenished.
- Assist customers with seafood questions.
- Ensure all company policies and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
- Other duties and functions as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior management experience in a busy seafood department.
- Hands‑on experience with fish filleting, seafood preparation, cleaning, and display setup; strong knowledge of different types of seafood.
- Ability to train, develop, and mentor team members while effectively utilizing their skills.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Proficiency in operating commercial kitchen equipment relevant to the seafood department.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment.

- Frequent movement on hard surfaces; may require bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, or stooping to examine or handle merchandise.
- Lifting objects up to 30 pounds; heavier or awkward objects may require assistance.
- Typically works indoors with moving machinery or loud equipment; may require shouting to communicate.
- Exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, or coolers.

Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $22–$24 hourly
