Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
  • Front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices.
  • Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January–April, including evening and weekend hours as needed. In-person role (not remote).
What you'll bring to the team
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns.
  • Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management for associates in all offices.
  • Travel between offices as required.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Your Expertise
  • People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading towards a growth culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
Work schedule and location

This role is in-person and not remote. Part-time start in the fall with transition to full-time January–April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
