TITLE: Assembly Lead

SHIFT: 1st Shift
We are seeking a hands‑on, technically skilled leader to oversee day‑to‑day activities within the Assembly Shop. This role is responsible for providing direction, technical expertise, and support to ensure efficient operations, product quality, and on‑time delivery.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to resolve technical or process‑related challenges on the shop floor.
- Work closely with the General Assembly Manager to set priorities and manage workloads to meet customer shipment commitments.
- Allocate assignments according to team members’ skills and verify that standard assembly procedures are consistently applied.
- Monitor and update work orders and employee labor entries to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Foster a collaborative, professional, and safety‑conscious work environment through positive leadership and example.
- When needed, assist in the assembly of standard and custom‑built cabinets.
- Inspect finished assemblies and equipment to confirm quality standards are met prior to shipment.
- Contribute to performance evaluations by offering feedback and recommendations for employee development.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and housekeeping standards.
- Perform additional related duties as directed by management.
- 2–3 years of experience in a technical lead or supervisory capacity within an electro‑mechanical assembly environment.
- Proven ability to identify issues, prioritize tasks, and motivate team members toward successful outcomes.
- Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with a variety of hand tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand and perform physical tasks for prolonged periods.
