Critical Care Veterinary Technician

Join to apply for the Critical Care Veterinary Technician role at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA. This position supports our Extracorporeal Therapies and Hemodialysis program and is ideal for a technician pursuing or already holding a Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in ECC, with an interest in Extracorporeal Therapies and Mechanical Ventilation. This is a full-time role requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Provide care to critical patients, including those receiving extracorporeal therapy such as hemodialysis and therapeutic plasma exchange.
• Collaborate with boarded criticalists, skilled technicians, and assistants to deliver high-quality, progressive medical care.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR when needed.
• Place IV catheters and advanced lines (central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines).
• Utilize advanced monitoring, including direct arterial blood pressure, capnography, and continuous telemetry.
• Assist in the ICU, including monitoring and care for mechanically ventilated and other critical patients.
• Mentor and train other team members.
• Assist with department maintenance, including stocking and related tasks.

• Experienced, credentialed technician prepared to pursue a Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) or utilize a current VTS credential.

Pay: $21.00 - $48.00 per hour

Sign-on bonus: up to $5,000 for qualified LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS candidates

Shift Differentials are offered for eligible night/weekend hours, with differential amounts depending on shifts (example: Mon–Fri 6pm–8am; Sat–Sun 6pm–8am; additional daytime weekend differential). Amounts vary by schedule and minimum hours.
