Senior Bookkeeper

Are you an experienced Senior Bookkeeper? - Permanent - Practice based in the heart of Sussex

Our client is exciting Practice based in East Sussex who are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their current team. The successful applicant will bring with them a passion for cloud based bookkeeping and management accounts for a wide variety of clients and a desire to excel in their career.
Your role:

• Providing Xero Bookkeeping and VAT services to their portfolio of clients.
• Preparation of VAT returns, both monthly and quarterly.
• Preparation of CIS returns.
• Providing monthly management accounts and supporting company directors with the required information and reports
• Ensuring accurate records are kept of their day-to-day operations.
• Maintaining contact with clients, HMRC and other advisors.
• Training and developing the more junior members of the team.
• Other ad hoc duties within the role.

The Ideal Candidate:

• AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience of Xero bookkeeping.
• Previous VAT or Bookkeeping experience.
• A good understanding of the corporate services sector.
• Strong client interaction skills.
• Organised and efficient with strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
