Senior General Foreman

Bennett & Game are pleased to be working with a leading civil engineering contractor who are seeking an experienced Senior General Foreman to join an £11m bridge replacement project near Seaford, East Sussex.

The project is currently underway and is expected to run through to early 2028, involving the construction of a new bridge over the River Cuckmere alongside a wide range of heavy civil engineering activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior General Foreman with a strong background in heavy civils, highways and earthworks to take a leading role on a complex infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise operatives and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with the site programme.
• Contribute to programme preparation and planning.
• Plan and order materials and plant to meet programme requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily records of works undertaken.
• Ensure all plant is suitable for the task and complies with current legislation.
• Ensure environmental systems and procedures are implemented effectively.
• Monitor works to ensure compliance with company quality, health & safety and environmental policies.
• Drive productivity while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
