About the Role
Onpoint Care Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and child‑focused Classroom Support Workers to support a range of schools across East Sussex. You’ll work in mainstream, SEN, and specialist education settings, helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities
* Providing in‑class support across different subjects and year groups
* Supporting pupils with learning tasks, activities, and classroom routines
* Offering 1:1 support for children who need additional help
* Assisting with small‑group interventions
* Supporting pupils with SEN/SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
* Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, structured environment
* Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and resources
* Building positive, supportive relationships with pupils
* Adapting confidently to different school settings and teaching styles
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 3 months UK experience in a school, childcare, or children’s support role
* Understanding of safeguarding and child development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a child‑centred approach
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN/SEND
* Familiarity with behaviour plans, EHCPs, or structured support strategies
