General Cover Supervisor – Hailsham, Eastbourne & Hastings

East Sussex (Hailsham, Eastbourne, Hastings)
Pay: £100–£140 per day (dependent on experience)

Hours:

8:30am–3:30pm

Contract:

Long-term, short-term, or flexible supply (full time or part time available)

Are you a reliable and enthusiastic professional ready to support schools across East Sussex? We are recruiting General Cover Supervisors to provide classroom support and maintain continuity of learning when teachers are absent in Hailsham, Eastbourne, and Hastings.

Your role will include:

Supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain on task

Implementing pre-prepared lessons and school policies

Maintaining a positive, safe, and productive learning environment

Monitoring student behaviour and reporting concerns according to school guidelines

Assisting with administrative tasks where needed

We are looking for:

Previous experience working in schools is advantageous but not essential

Strong organisational and communication skills

Professionalism, reliability, and adaptability

Ability to engage students and manage classroom behaviour effectively

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
