Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Newport. This largely populated school boasts fantastic sports facilities and offers opportunities both inside and outside of lessons to promote student engagement, helping their young people to flourish both academically and personally.

The Head Teacher is looking to take on a driven Welsh Teacher from Newport on a long‑term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential to transition to a permanent position. The successful Welsh Teacher will work across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including exam preparation for GCSEs, and play a central role in helping students achieve excellent results while following and implementing the national schemes of learning.

• Lead and deliver engaging Welsh language lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Prepare pupils for high‑quality GCSE assessment.
• Observe and reflect on teaching practice to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and assessment strategies.

• QTS with Welsh specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Computer Science up to KS3 / KS4
• Excellent classroom management skills
