SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lewes

We are seeking dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Primary schools and specialist provisions across Lewes and nearby villages.

These positions focus on providing individualised support to children who require additional help to engage confidently in school life - academically, socially and emotionally.

Assignments are available on a flexible basis, including regular long-term placements as well as shorter-term cover roles.

The schools we support work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

* ADHD

* Speech, Language and Communication needs

* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

* Learning difficulties

The role typically involves:

* Supporting a named pupil throughout the school day

* Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs

* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

* Providing consistent encouragement and reassurance

We are looking for individuals who are calm, reliable and genuinely motivated to make a difference. Previous school experience is helpful, but we also welcome applicants with backgrounds in childcare, care work, youth support or other relevant roles.
