Position: Teaching Assistant 2 – Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 30 hours per week (part‑time, term‑time only), 39 weeks worked per year, 46.20 weeks paid per year, pro‑rata salary £17,861–£24,413 per annum.

About the School

Cuckmere House School is part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust and is a special school providing SEMH and ASC provision. The Trust and School focus on a warm, caring environment for staff and students.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum across the whole school.
  • Work directly with pupils and assist in preparation of resources.
  • Act as a role model for pupils, demonstrating expected behaviours.
  • Maintain a caring, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Innovative, enthusiastic, and flexible mindset.
  • Interest and knowledge of child development.
  • Understanding of child protection procedures.
  • Resilience and a good sense of humour, particularly when working with vulnerable young people.
  • Sensitive and empathic approach to working with young males.
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people is preferable but not essential; training will be provided.
Other Information

Working pattern:
Monday to Friday, term‑time only; hours to be discussed at interview and agreed upon upon successful appointment.
