Working Hours and Hours of Work
Hours of work: 16.25 hours as Teaching Assistant, plus 5 hours as Lunchtime Assistant.
Working pattern:
Part‑time, Term‑time only, working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years of continuous service.
As the position is part‑time / term‑time only, the above salary will be pro rata.

Role OverviewSkylark Federation are looking for a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming and friendly village school at Plumpton Green, Lewes. We have friendly and engaged families, happy children who are keen to do their best and a positive, supportive working environment.
Working Hours:
Teaching Assistant, 8:30am – 12:00 noon and Lunchtime Assistant 12:00 noon – 1:00pm, Monday – Friday.
This position includes some work on inclusion and wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering learning activities.
- Work across the classroom, one-to-one, or with small groups to assist children who may need extra help.
- Boost the confidence of pupils and empower them in a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Act as an extra pair of eyes in the classroom, picking up on any changes in behaviour and helping to ensure every child has a safe and happy learning experience.
- Assist with lunchtime duties, ensuring a smooth transition from school to home.
