Plumpton College is the leader of land and environment education in the Southeast, renowned for our outstanding cutting-edge practice and ability to align delivery to meet the needs of industry. Our engineering division is in a period of significant growth as we develop new provision to enable students to develop technical skills to meet needs of employers. Having launched a successful new Level 3 Agricultural Engineering programme this year, and with a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme launching later this year, we are now seeking to recruit an Engineering Lecturer to join our highly successful team on a permanent full time or part time basis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver effective teaching, learning & assessment and support engineering students to understand complex theoretical engineering concepts, and their applications in industry, helping them to maximise their potential and make positive progress towards their timely success, future study and employment. You will be able to inspire and motivate, through the application of your engineering expertise, making a significant contribution to the success of our vocational programmes and the future careers of our learners.

Deliver effective teaching, learning & assessment for engineering students. Support learners to understand and apply complex theoretical engineering concepts and their applications in industry. Inspire and motivate students to maximise their potential and progress towards success in study and employment. Contribute to the success of vocational programmes and learner development.

Suitable candidates will demonstrate strong engineering knowledge and skills. We welcome applications from new graduates or experienced candidates with a Level 3 qualification or higher. You may already possess teaching experience and qualifications or have experience of working with apprentices or students within your workplace. For those looking to start their teaching career, we offer on the job training towards a recognised teaching qualification.
