King'sAcademy Ringmer is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science tojoin our thriving secondary school on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave to start on Monday 4 January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love of Science, deliver high-quality teaching and learning, and support students to achieve their full potential within asupportive and ambitious school community.

The appointment is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave. It is anticipated that the appointment will run until Thursday 23 July 2027

Working closely with colleagues within the Science Department and across the wider school, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners of all abilities. You will create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed, while maintaining high expectations for achievement, behaviour and participation.

Youwill be committed to developing students' Scientific knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, enabling them to make strong progress and achieve positive outcomes. Through effective assessment and feedback, you will monitor progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.

Youhave experience of planning and delivering lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities and are confident in using assessment to inform your teaching and improve outcomes. You understand the importance of creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, supported and able tothrive.

Youare a positive team player who builds strong relationships with students,colleagues and families and is willing to contribute to the wider life of theschool. You are resilient, adaptable and committed to your own professional development.
