Senior Civil Design Engineer

Location: East Sussex

Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital for the design and implementation of clean water infrastructure projects, primarily based in Falmer with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and overseeing civil engineering designs for clean water infrastructure projects
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success
Conducting site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical input
Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
Coordinating with external stakeholders and clients to ensure project alignment
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables are met

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in civil engineering within the water sector
Strong technical skills in civil design and relevant software
Proficiency in preparing engineering drawings and documentation
Understanding of clean water infrastructure and related regulations
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
