Senior Civil Engineer

Location: East Sussex

Our client, a leading company in the water sector, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Falmer.

This role offers a hybrid working model, with ad-hoc visits to the Falmer office. You will be contributing to wastewater infrastructure projects, making a significant impact within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the design and implementation of civil engineering projects focused on wastewater infrastructure
Conducting feasibility studies and technical assessments
Preparation and review of project documentation including reports, specifications, and contractual documents
Ensuring project compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives
Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Visiting project sites as required to oversee progress and ensure quality standards

Job Requirements:

Experience in civil engineering within the water sector
Strong understanding of wastewater infrastructure projects
Proficiency in using civil engineering design software
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
