Looking for a new challenge? It's an exciting time at Sense and we have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Residential Service in Carrickfergus.

These are permanent contracts, working 29 hours per week, with a variation of shifts over a 2 week rolling rota. Sense is offering Support Workers £12.50 per hour.

Edenvale Avenue is a 10‑bedded residential service supporting individuals with sensory impairment and/or complex needs. The service offers a supportive working environment with a commitment to quality and an emphasis on training and development for staff. The high staffing ratios reflect Sense’s commitment to providing high quality services that meet the unique needs of the people we support.

Staff who carry out shifts at Edenvale residential may be expected to assist the people we support to attend our day centre Monday‑Friday between 10am and 2.30pm. This includes assisting individuals with their morning routines, preparing and packing for the day ahead, and attending the day centre with them, where they will participate in a range of activities such as socialising, swimming, going to the café and arts & crafts.

Staff will then support individuals to return home to Edenvale and provide customised support for the remainder of their shift, tailored to suit each individual’s needs. This can include support to maintain own routines, personal shopping, food preparation and medication.
