Job Description

Could you be that person to transform, improve and deliver the best to our residents to help lead change? This great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Care Operations Manager to join our fast‑paced, dynamic, and evolving multi‑Health & Social Care Connect team in East Sussex. We will be embarking on an ambitious transformation programme to redesign our front door and transform our practice to achieve our goal of improving access to social care services.

You will manage a team of Practice Managers, lead quality improvement, and drive innovation across Health and Social Care Connect, including Blue Badges, Access and Safeguarding Hub, and will be responsible for the implementation of any transformation initiatives and projects contributing to continuous improvement of services with the support of the Head of Service. The service operates between 8 am to 10 pm to mirror health services.

You will be included on the on‑call rota to respond to urgent issues out of hours. You will contribute to service developments, strategic planning, and ensure services remain person‑centred, sustainable, and fit for the future. This role sits at the heart of our efforts to respond to national health and social care changes; your impact will be felt not just today, but for years to come.

  • Has a strong record in service management, strategic planning, and leading change
  • Either holds a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Social Work, Occupational Therapy) or a management qualification (or is willing to work towards gaining a management qualification)
  • Believes in working collaboratively, creatively, and always in partnership with residents
