Brighton Seafront £44,000- 48,000 plus TRONC and bonus with OTE over £55,000

We are looking elected for a General Manager for The Seahorse in Brighton, a restaurant and event venue on the Brighton seafront. The Seahorse is a popular destination and throughout the year, we are exceptionally busy with events, drinks outside on our terrace and a full restaurant!

Think long summer days with delicious food and drink, fantastic service and huge events all on the beach and you sum up our venue perfectly.

Our new GM will be ambitious and driven to make a name for themselves by exceeding sales expectations, using the location as an asset (we are next door almost to the i360!) and getting to know many local businesses. You will know how to organise events with a team and lead from the front delivering exceptional service.

Experience of being a GM before is desirable, but ambition and enthusiasm are even more important, and this could be a chance for a very confident and experienced deputy to take their first big challenge.

You will work closely with your management team, including your head chef, to drive a team effort to deliver a great experience for our customers on every shift, partnering the finest food with our unique drinks offer, building an atmosphere that makes you the beating heart of every shift.

You will be fully responsible for the venue P&L, so converting sales to profit is also important. You will have an eagle eye for detail, ensuring our guests journey from beginning to end will leave them wanting more.

You will be at the forefront of training your team, with a genuine passion to develop and nurture your future stars and in turn, take your business forward. We believe in developing a strong bench, having a succession plan in place to reduce any recruitment needs and in turn develop our people into the next Portobello General Managers.
