Compensation & Hours£28,640 per annum (37 hours per week). Pro‑rated for 25 hours per week, £19,351 per annum, including occasional evening and weekend work.
DescriptionLead Peer Facilitator at Southdown, one of the leading providers of mental health services in Sussex. This role uses your lived experience to enable clients to find hope, connect with others and build their confidence. You will demonstrate excellent group facilitation skills and create psychologically safe spaces for clients. Working with an entry‑level Peer Facilitator, you will co‑facilitate peer groups for people experiencing similar challenges, mentor the entry‑level facilitator and take a leading role within the groups.
Southdown will provide reflective practice, supervision, team meetings and ongoing training to support you in your role.

- Excellent people skills and the ability to make people feel safe and welcome.
- Lived experience of mental health challenges and accessing mental health services.
- Passion for facilitating groups.
- An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
- Peer worker qualification.
- Experience of facilitating groups.
You’ll receive an initial induction, followed by regular in‑person training and supervisions that invest in your development and provide all the tools needed to succeed in this role.
