Tax Assistant (Placement Year) – Placement at TC Professional Services, Lewes, UK

• Location: Lewes, UK
• Type: Fixed Term Contract, Full time (36.25 hrs/week)
• Salary: In line with National Living Wage
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hrs/week
• Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus UK bank holidays

We are TC Group, the fastest‑growing top‑20 accountancy firm in the UK. This 12‑month placement, commencing July/August 2026 in Lewes, offers you a chance to work with an award‑nominated team of tax experts and gain hands‑on experience in personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory.

• Assist in the preparation of personal, partnership, trust and company tax returns and computations for a variety of clients
• Assist on capital gains tax returns
• Review accounts to ensure client compliance with current tax legislation
• Support the tax team with submissions, payment deadlines and senior member advisory work
• Communicate with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Handle administrative tasks and support marketing initiatives

• A‑Levels, BTEC, T‑Level or equivalent qualifications
• Studying a relevant university course (Accountancy & Finance preferred, but other courses considered)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Hardworking, diligent and able to work independently as well as in a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships
• Professional, positive work ethic with good planning and organisational skills
• Clear written and oral communication, good attention to detail
• Genuine interest in a future career in Tax
