Responsible for providing effective communication for deaf patients and their caregivers via ASL. Responsible for developing and coordinating effective communication programs for the deaf community via American Sign Language (ASL).

• Coordinates and oversees interpretation services for deaf patients giving priority to emergency and critical situations.
• Maintains records and documents all activity to include compiling statistical reports.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team rounds and conferences as needed.
• Develops and facilitates a plan for active community outreach with the deaf community in the Beebe Healthcare service area.
• Assists with departmental activities and coverage.
• Develops and facilitates team member education as needed.
• Maintains a working relationship with ASL Vendor such as Definitions and maintains ASL interpreter schedule and calendar for sending interpreter requests to the Vendor.
• Other duties as assigned.
