Job Description
The Intermediate Care Unit Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include managing patients requiring close monitoring and treatment for a range of conditions. The nurse will also participate in the interdisciplinary approach to patient care and will be required to float to different units as needed.
Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in the Intermediate Care Unit.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to appropriate staff.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.

• Document patient care activities accurately in the charting system.

• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in step-down, intermediate care, or progressive care units (SD, IMC, or PCU).

• Travel experience required.

• Active Delaware or compact nursing license.

•

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.

• COVID & FLU vaccinations required.
