Summary of Position: A Crooked Hammock Brewery Server is part beer guide, part food expert, part storyteller - and a big part of what makes a day in the backyard memorable. Around here, serving isn’t just about taking orders and dropping off food. It’s about welcoming people into our world, helping them discover a new favorite beer, guiding them toward something delicious and making them feel like there’s nowhere else they need to be.

Our Servers know how to read a table, make genuine connections and bring their own personality to the experience. They know our regulars, share the stories behind what we serve and take care of the little things before guests ever have to ask. Whether it’s someone’s first visit or their fiftieth, the goal is the same: great food, great beer and the kind of hospitality that makes them want to stick around for another round.

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality, create a fun and relaxed experience, and build connections that turn first-time visitors into regulars.
• Know our food, Crooked Hammock beers and signature drinks inside and out; guide guests through the menu, highlight features and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Share the Crooked Hammock story, fuel the passion behind our beer and promote current offerings, events and experiences throughout the restaurant.
• Take orders accurately, enter them promptly into the point-of-sale system and deliver food and beverages efficiently.
• Stay engaged with your tables, anticipate needs, accommodate special requests and respond quickly and courteously to questions or concerns.
• Look for natural opportunities to enhance the experience through additional food, beverage and dessert recommendations.
• Maintain clean, organized and guest-ready tables and service areas throughout each shift.
• Prepare checks, process payments accurately and make sure every guest receives a genuine farewell and invitation to come back.
• Follow Crooked Hammock Steps of Service, responsible alcohol service practices and all applicable policies and regulations.
• Complete opening, closing and side-work responsibilities and help keep service areas stocked, clean and ready to go.
• Be a great teammate: run food, clear and reset tables, communicate with the team and jump in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.
• Live the Crooked Hammock brand by bringing your personality, having fun, taking pride in the experience we create and making decisions in the best interest of our guests, team and restaurant.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least one year of restaurant experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Must have eligible to work in the United States
• Have thorough knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
• Must have flexibility in schedule to work nights and weekends
