The Home Depot is hiring for a Cashier role. Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized.
Responsibilities- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
- Provide product knowledge to customers and identify selling opportunities.
- Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
- Assist Head Cashier by expediting price checks and supporting POS transactions and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and using available tools to coach and develop others.
- Preferred qualification: 1+ years of Cashier experience.
