Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Ortho and General Surgery background and active PA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in the hospital Operating Room setting
- Primary cases include Ortho (Joints, Spine, Sports Injury) and General Surgery
- Direct intra-OR circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
- EPIC EMR use required
- 4x10 hour day shifts, either 7:00am-5:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm
- Call required: 4-5 call shifts per 6-week period, with 30-minute call back time
- Weekday call is 7:30pm-7:00am and weekend call is 7:00am-7:00am
- Weekend shifts and holiday coverage required
- Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no time off allowed between Christmas and New Year's
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off permitted during contract
- May care for COVID-positive patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Pre-start modules required, estimated 5-6 hours to complete
- Pairs/travel pairs are accepted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed
- Local candidates (within 50 miles) are considered at a reduced rate
- Active PA or compact RN license with no license hits
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Current ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Experience with Ortho and General Surgery cases is required
- Must be able to meet a 30-minute call-back time during call shifts
