American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit requiring telemetry skills and the ability to float between IMC, Ortho, and Rehab.

• IMC unit caring for hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, bowel obstructions, and general medical/surgical patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 7p-7a)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required between IMC, Ortho, and Rehab units as needed
• May care for COVID-positive patients
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required with no license action history accepted
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring skills required (on-unit and remote)
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and rapid response situations
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and would care preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and chest tube management preferred
• Renal and genitourinary care experience preferred, including hemodialysis management
• Experience with substance withdrawal and CVA care preferred
• Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience preferred

• Provide direct patient care across IMC, Ortho, and Rehab units as needed
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) or 1 of 2 if contract spans fewer holidays
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration
• Pass required EKG exam within 72 hours of signing contract
• First-time travelers may be considered
