Senior Quantity Surveyor

In a Nutshell We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team within Vistry South East Midlands, at our office in Enderby, Leicestershire. As our Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work within our wider Commercial, Estimating and Buying team, you will be responsible for supervising, managing and advising on the financial and contractual aspects of multiple construction projects.

You will take responsibility for the execution of the Quantity Surveying function on allocated contract/s, in order to fulfil the requirements of the Company in maximising quality of service and profitability. You will provide a range of cost control and financial reporting duties across all aspects of construction work undertaken by the company. Review contract documentation, drawings and programme requirements to identify errors, omissions, risks, delays, extensions of time, loss and expense events, and potential cost impacts. Manage the tendering and procurement process, including preparing tender documentation, evaluating submissions, completing CV1/CV2 approvals, conducting adjudications and ensuring compliance with Group policy and best practice. Negotiate, place and administer subcontract orders, including pre-order meetings, contractual documentation, subcontractor due diligence and approval processes.

Manage variations, sales extras, site instructions and development changes, ensuring accurate valuation, approval, reporting and cost recovery. Prepare, monitor and control development budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow, identifying risks, opportunities and areas of overspend. Produce and present commercial and financial reporting, including CVRs, valuations, liability reports, margin analysis, cost-to-complete forecasts, turnover forecasts and site-specific commercial reviews.
