A well-regarded secondary school in Southwark is seeking a Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department from September 2026. This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who enjoys delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils understand the world around them.
You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for the right candidate. The department is collaborative and well resourced, with a strong focus on subject knowledge and consistent classroom practice.
Geography Teacher– The Role
- Teach Geography across KS3–KS4, with KS5 opportunities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
- Support GCSE and A-Level Geography exam preparation
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- QTS and a degree in Geography or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
- High expectations of pupil progress and behaviour
- A reflective teacher keen to develop and progress
- Supportive and well-led Humanities department
- Good behaviour and clear school systems
- Regular CPD and opportunities for progression
Salary: M1-M2 (Inner London)
