We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant who truly understands Early Years. Someone who knows that in Reception and Nursery, behaviour is communication.
We’re working with a welcoming mainstream primary school looking for a specialist LSA to support pupils inNursery and Reception, with a focus on behaviour management and SEMH.
If you’ve got that steady presence, the one children gravitate towards when they’re overwhelmed, this could be your next role.
What you’ll be doing- Supporting children in Nursery and Reception
- Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need extra emotional support
- Using positive behaviour strategies to encourage regulation
- Helping children develop social skills, routines and confidence
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
In Early Years, progress can look like sharing for the first time. Sitting on the carpet for five minutes. Using words instead of tears. You’ll be there for those moments.
We’re looking for someone who:- Has experience in Early Years, Nursery or Reception
- Understands SEMH and behaviour management strategies
- Has worked with children with additional needs
- Is calm, consistent and emotionally intelligent
- Can commit full-time during term time
Experience in youth work, nurseries, SEND settings or behaviour-focused roles is highly valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
