A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a committed English Teacher to join their department from September. This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who enjoys delivering clear, well-structured lessons and helping pupils develop confidence in reading and writing.

You will be teaching English across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach English Language and Literature  department is organised and supportive, with a strong focus on subject knowledge, consistency and raising attainment.

• Plan and deliver lessons in English Language and English Literature
• Prepare pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment
• Support pupils of varying abilities to make good progress

• QTS and a degree in English or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and secure classroom practice
• Able to deliver engaging lessons and maintain clear routines

• Supportive and experienced English department
• Good behaviour and clear school systems
• Ongoing CPD and opportunities for progression
