Aspire People is seeking caring, patient, and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistants to join exceptional ASD-focused schools across South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated learning or communication needs.
Assist class teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
Support pupils in developing communication, social, and emotional skills using structured and positive strategies.
Encourage independence, resilience, and engagement in learning through consistent support and encouragement.
Contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists.
Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment for all students.

Requirements:
Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs, ideally ASD (in schools, care, or youth settings).
Understanding of autism, sensory processing differences, and communication challenges.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic approach.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated SEN team.
Minimum of GCSEs (A
-C) in English and Maths; additional qualifications in child development or SEN support are desirable.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
