EYFS Teaching Assistant - Deptford, SE London - SEND Support & Class Cover

A friendly and inclusive Primary School in Deptford, SE London is looking for a confident EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team. This EYFS Teaching Assistant role involves supporting children with SEND needs, assisting with personal care, and helping pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

This role also includes covering the class teacher on Mondays and Fridays, delivering pre-prepared teaching materials. The successful EYFS Teaching Assistant will need to confidently manage the class during these sessions while maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.

Responsibilities as an EYFS Teaching Assistant:

Supporting Reception children with SEND needs as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Assisting with personal care and intimate support as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Delivering structured lessons and activities prepared by the class teacher as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Covering the class teacher on Mondays and Fridays as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Supporting outdoor learning and play as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Requirements for this EYFS Teaching Assistant role:

Experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant, preferably supporting SEND pupils

Confidence in covering a class and delivering pre-set lessons as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Proactive, caring, and confident approach to working with young children as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Enjoyment of outdoor learning and engagement with children as a EYFS Teaching Assistant

Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through us
