The role – Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Lewisham. In this Teaching Assistant role, you will support pupils through both one-to-one and small group interventions, helping them stay engaged and achieve meaningful progress in their learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with ASD and those who may present challenging behaviour, using a calm, patient, and consistent approach to meet their individual needs. The Teaching Assistant role involves delivering tailored support strategies, assisting with behaviour management, and contributing to a positive and well-structured classroom environment.

Working collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO, you will play an important part in supporting pupils’ academic growth, while also nurturing their social development, confidence, and emotional wellbeing so they can reach their full potential.
