Are you a passionate SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?
We are working with a well-regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lewisham that is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This rewarding role involves supporting secondary-aged students who have faced barriers to mainstream education and require additional support to achieve their full potential.
The Role
You will be teaching and supporting students with a range of needs, including:
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* ADHD
* Challenging behaviour
* Trauma-related needs
* Additional learning needs
The successful candidate will create engaging lessons, build positive relationships, and help students re-engage with education in a supportive and structured environment.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Experience teaching students with SEN, SEMH, or within alternative provisions is highly desirable
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable young people
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Commitment to improving outcomes for students with complex needs
