Protocol Education is working with welcoming primary schools across Greenwich and Lewisham seeking enthusiastic and proactive Science Graduates to support pupils as a Teaching Assistant
.
This role is perfect for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, or graduates looking to make a real impact while developing valuable classroom experience.
What You’ll Be Doing- Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Helping pupils understand scientific concepts through engaging activities
- Delivering small‑group interventions in science, maths, and literacy
- Providing tailored support to children who require additional help
- Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic development
- Holds a degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or related subject)
- Has experience working with children or transferable skills from mentoring, tutoring, coaching, or youth work
- Is passionate about education and inspiring the next generation
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
