Salary: £30,105 per annum.

- Provide efficient, value‑for‑money service to help Forestry England achieve its goals by maintaining and repairing vehicles and specialist forestry equipment.
- Inspect, repair, service, weld, fabricate, and recover worksites and other areas.
- Maintain and repair items such as chainsaws, trailers, quads, agricultural machinery (tractors and attachments), cars, vans, and 4×4s.
- Report to the Mechanical Engineering Charge Hand / Service Delivery administrator.
One position advertised with possibility of three different locations:
Sherwood Pines, Birches Valley (Cannock), and Bellingham Workshop (Northumberland). The role will be managed from Bellingham Workshop.

The Sherwood Pines and Birches Valley roles are predominantly mobile, covering the Central District, Delamere Nursery, and occasionally the Yorkshire Forest District. A fully equipped mobile workshop vehicle and all required tools, equipment, parts, and consumables will be supplied.
The Bellingham Workshop role is a combination of workshop‑based and mobile work, with toolbox supplied in the workshop and shared use of mobile workshop vehicles when required. It primarily supports the North District with travel into Central and Yorkshire Districts as needed.
