Job Description & How to Apply Below
Autonomous community care | Meaningful patient relationships | Specialist oncology practice | Strong clinical support
Delivering cancer treatment in a patient’s home allows time for the kind of care that brought many nurses into the profession. As a Chemotherapy Nurse, you will support patients across South East London while building lasting relationships and providing specialist treatment in a calm community setting rather than a busy ward.
This Chemotherapy Nurse role offers genuine professional autonomy with strong clinical governance behind you. Many Oncology Nurses and Haematology Nurses find the community environment allows them to focus more fully on personalised care while maintaining high clinical standards.
Package & Benefits
• Salary up to £58,000 per annum plus London weighting.
• Company car or £4,887.50 car allowance.
• NMC fees reimbursed.
• Pension scheme and life insurance.
• Private medical insurance after qualifying period.
• Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
About the Company
You will be part of a specialist healthcare provider delivering cancer treatment within the community across South East London. The organisation prioritises safe, high-quality care while supporting experienced nurses with strong clinical governance and ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver chemotherapy treatments for haematology and solid tumour patients in line with agreed care plans.
• Conduct clinical assessments and maintain safe standards when administering systemic anti-cancer therapy.
• Accurately document patient information and report adverse drug reactions when required.
• Build supportive relationships with patients and families throughout treatment.
About You
• Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
• Competent and qualified in administering cytotoxic chemotherapy.
• Experienced in cannulation and clinical patient assessment.
If you are a Chemotherapy Nurse, Oncology Nurse, or Haematology Nurse looking for a role where you can spend more time focusing on patient-centred care in the community, this could be a strong next step in your career.
