Facilities Officer/Caretaker

Lewisham College (part of NCG
) is working in partnership with The Supply Register to recruit a reliable and proactive Facilities Officer/Caretaker to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance skills who enjoys working in a busy educational environment and takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming facilities.

This role offers
flexible working hours with a rotating shift pattern:

• 5:30am – 1:30pm
• 10:30am – 6:30pm
• 1:30pm – 9:30pm

• Opening and securing the college campus (key holding duties)
• Carrying out reactive maintenance and minor repairs
• Basic handyman tasks, including:
  • Minor plumbing repairs (e.g. blockages and small leaks)
  • Basic carpentry
• Setting up rooms and furniture for college events
• Completing regular housekeeping, operational, and health & safety checks
• Assisting with occasional grounds maintenance duties

We're looking for someone who:

• Has basic maintenance and handyman skills
• Is reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
• Takes a proactive approach to health and safety
• Has excellent organisational skills and a positive attitude

• Previous experience working within a school, college, or other educational setting
