Assistant Professor of Finance & Accounting

Overview

LC State invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Finance & Accounting, located in Lewiston, Idaho, with a start date of January 2026.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $73,000

Degree

Required:

Master's of Business Administration or related degree from a regionally accredited college or university (terminal degree preferred)

Required Qualifications:

• Experience and education needed to teach business, management, and operations courses

Preferred Qualifications:

• DBA, PhD in Finance, MAcc or other related degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• College-level teaching experience preferred
• Quality online instructional experience
• Collegiality within a team environment
• Ability to work independently
• Perform effectively under pressure and with deadlines

The primary responsibilities are teaching Financial Management, Production Operations Management, and other management-related courses, as well as accounting principles courses. This position is responsible for teaching a 12-hour course load per semester, advising students, program development, outcomes assessment, scholarly activities, and service to the division and college.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support the recruitment and retention of students.
