Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

• ARRT certification required (must be attached to resume)

• BLS certification required through American Heart Association (must be attached to submission)

• Must have experience using Elekta equipment

• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by Radiation Oncologist

• Interact with patients of all age groups from newborns through geriatrics

• Position and set up patients properly for accurate delivery of radiation treatment

• Perform daily warm-up of treatment machines and enter information in logbooks

• Check simulator for proper operation and report any issues

• Properly position patients for simulation using immobilization devices

• Produce acceptable radiographs for simulation

• Tattoo and photograph patient treatment areas when applicable

• Maintain audio and visual contact with patients at all times

• Schedule patients for daily treatment and maintain treatment marks

• Perform portal localization films weekly or as prescribed

• Conduct weekly chart checks to ensure prescription compliance

• Assist with patient transport and provide patient assistance as necessary

• Attend all required hospital and departmental in-service programs

• Participate in performance improvement activities
• $1,000 completion bonus paid upon successful completion of full assignment term
