RN, RN Nurse, Surgical Assistant

Day shift, 06:30 - 17:00, Monday through Friday with call, one day a week and one weekend a month.

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. The OR RN works collaboratively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Operating Room Technicians, and other personnel to provide patient care according to the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures.

• Scheduling surgical cases and ensuring timely execution
• Managing inventory and ensuring availability of supplies
• Communicating with families regarding patient care
• Updating physician preference cards as necessary
• Scrubbing and circulating surgical cases

• Must have an Idaho RN or multi-state RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 3 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with General Surgery, Davinci systems preferred, as well as Orthopedics, robotic knee replacement, trauma, and Neuro
