Responsibilities- Provide technical service to diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines, and components.
- Overhaul gas and diesel engines.
- Install and replace injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, head bolts, rods, main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan housings, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, batteries, and transmissions.
- Read job orders, observe vehicle operation, diagnose malfunctions, and establish repair procedures.
- Inspect protective guards and safety devices; make adjustments as needed.
- Lubricate moving parts and verify vehicle performance against specifications.
- Tag warranty parts and return them to the warranty clerk.
- Attend training classes and stay current with factory technical bulletins.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to increase overall satisfaction.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
- Valid driver license (CDL).
- Preferred:
Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and/or ASE certifications.
