Surgical Oncologist – Central Maine Medical Center (Lewiston, ME)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Surgical Oncologist to join our oncology services team, providing comprehensive surgical care for patients across southern and central Maine.

• Perform complex oncologic surgeries including but not limited to breast, colorectal, gastrointestinal, and upper gastrointestinal procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists (medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, nursing) to coordinate patient care.
• Provide thorough pre‑operative evaluation and post‑operative follow‑up, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Participate in tumor board meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in morbidity/mortality conferences.

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in General Surgery, with fellowship training in Surgical Oncology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of post‑fellowship or equivalent clinical oncologic surgical experience.
• Excellent clinical expertise and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with specialists.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules and days as required.
