Overview
Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people in central, western and Midcoast Maine. CMH facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. CMH supports Central Maine Medical Group and other services including the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, regional trauma program, Life Flight of Maine's southern base, and the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based, high-quality care for patients and participate in quality improvement activities with emphasis on reducing health disparities.
- Maintain licensure and board certifications; complete clinical charting in a timely fashion; coordinate and lead interprofessional, team-based care.
- Educate residents, medical students, and learners; deliver didactic lectures; serve as mentor and advisor; participate in scholarly activity; develop competency-based curricula including DEIB objectives.
- Coordinate and update didactics and rotation/longitudinal curricula; supervise QA/QI and research; attend didactics when not on patient care; provide at least 4 didactic sessions annually.
- Participate in faculty development, evaluate residents using competency-based evaluations; seek feedback and act on it.
- Administrative: serve on committees; monitor resident work hours and fatigue; participate in program evaluation and implementation of action items.
- Well-being: model well-being, reflective practice, recognize bias, and maintain personal and professional well-being.
- MD or DO; board certification in Family Medicine; eligible for unrestricted license in state of practice.
- Minimum of two years of practicing family physician experience, with prior teaching.
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient and inpatient family medicine; excellent communication and organizational skills; commitment to education and development of residents.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other clinical technologies; ability to engage patients and teams per CMH standards.
