Overview

Early Head Start or Head Start Teacher Assistant at Promise Early Education Center. This role supports classrooms for children ages 0-5 depending on assignment. We will train you; no experience required. Earn more after certification; no cost to you.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
• Assist classroom teachers with classroom management
• Fill in when the Teacher is out of the classroom
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds, get down on the floor with children for floor time activities
• Must have reliable transportation
• Computer skills are required
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• CDA is required but Promise Early Education Center will pay for the required training and certification; earn while you learn
• Must have reliable transportation

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• Starting pay $19.91/hour; higher if you have an Early Childhood Degree

Head Start and Early Head Start Teacher Assistants. Early Head Start Teacher Assistants will be primarily with children 0-3 years old. Head Start Teacher Assistant will be primarily with children 3-5 years old.
