Overview
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide district-wide behavioral consultation and direct support for ABA-based programs in public schools. This role includes designing and supervising the implementation of individualized, evidence-based behavioral and skill-building interventions to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, ADHD, or significant behavioral challenges. The BCBA will work collaboratively with special educators, general educators, ed techs, school psychologists, and administrators to promote student success, build staff capacity, and ensure fidelity of ABA practices across the district.
Responsibilities- Conducting FBAs and creating data-driven PBSPs
- Coaching and training teachers, Ed Techs, and support staff in ABA strategies
- Collaborating with IEP teams to develop behavior-related goals
- Providing consultation and support to general and special education classrooms
- Assisting with crisis plans, MTSS/PBIS, and staff professional development
- Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Current BCBA certification
- Experience with autism and behavioral supports in school settings
- Familiarity with Maine DOE Chapters 33 & 101 preferred
