In this fulfilling role, you will assist with planning and organizing engaging activities that provide opportunities for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and self-expression. Our vibrant activities program is designed to fulfill the psychological, physical, social, and spiritual needs of our residents, helping them thrive and enjoy a high quality of life every single day.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions- Activity Planning & Execution: Help plan, organize, and lead diverse recreational programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our residents.
- Community Engagement: Foster a warm, welcoming environment, using your strong communication skills to connect meaningfully with residents, staff, and families.
- Independent Coordination: Bring strong organization and time management to the role, working independently and flexibly to keep our daily calendar running smoothly.
- Schedule: Structured shifts designed to keep residents active and engaged.
- Work Location: In-person community setting.
- Education & Credentials: High school graduate or equivalent certification (CNA certification is highly desirable). Current CPR certification is required.
- Driving Requirement: Must possess a valid Maine Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Experience & Skills: Prior experience working with a geriatric population and basic computer skills.
- Core Qualities: A strong, genuine desire to care for others, excellent judgment, flexibility, and outstanding organizational and time management skills.
