We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality & Compliance to provide strategic leadership for our organization-wide quality management, regulatory compliance, risk management, accreditation, and privacy programs. This is a key leadership position that partners closely with executive leadership and serves as a member of the Senior Management Team.

Position Summary

The Director of Quality & Compliance provides strategic oversight of Andwell’s quality improvement, compliance, risk management, accreditation, privacy, and regulatory programs. This leader ensures organizational adherence to CMS Conditions of Participation, ACHC Accreditation Standards, HIPAA requirements, State of Maine regulations, and other applicable federal and state healthcare regulations.

The Director drives a culture of continuous quality improvement, patient safety, survey readiness, and regulatory excellence across all service lines while supporting exceptional patient outcomes and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities Quality & Performance Improvement
  • Lead and oversee the organization's Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor organization-wide quality initiatives.
  • Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Lead corrective action planning and monitoring resulting from audits, investigations, and surveys.
  • Oversee patient, family, and customer experience improvement efforts.
Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, ACHC, OIG, HIPAA, State of Maine, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain continuous accreditation and survey readiness across all service lines.
  • Serve as organizational lead during regulatory and accreditation surveys.
  • Coordinate plans of correction and monitor ongoing compliance activities.
  • Provide compliance reporting and updates to executive leadership, Board Committees, and the Corporate Board.
Risk Management
  • Oversee enterprise risk management and incident reporting programs.
